just my luck.
of course i would be the girl thats stuck in the airport alllllll day. I'm going to visit (s) for new years, and because of all the horrible weather thats been hitting the northeast, all my flights are delayed for around four hours

so clearly i haven't been blogging at all (even though I still read them like it is my job) and since I'm beyond bored at my parents I figured I would give it another try.
random facts about me--
I am southern by birth raised western and have finally made it back to the "homeland" for college. I lovee it and will never move away.
I'm the recruitment chair for my sorority and I'm so beyond obsessed; sweep '11 coming up girls!
Love baking; hate cooking.
I am attempting to become an instructor in pure barre technique..... if you haven't tried it, its absolutely wonderful and will change your life (I'll keep you updated on that haha)
I have three best friends. (e) (s) (c). they make my whole life worth it.
I feel everything through music. John mayor, taylor swift, and lady gaga know everything I feel.

banana bread and life lessons
so after creepily following about 20 blogs over the last few months... i decided to take the plunge and try writing one. currently however, its rush week at my school... so im gonna have to delay on all of the getting to know you stuff as the banana bread i am currently making for the rho gammas is about to be ready and i have hours of homework (yay college haha). but before i go, i would like to leave you with some of my favorite life lessons that i really try to remember as i navigate life as a busy college student who has not yet found what she is looking for.
1. You cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.
2. No matter how much you care, some people just don't care back.
3. It takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
4. No matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
5. It's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.
6. You should never ruin an apology with an excuse.
7. You can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better know something.
8. You shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do.
9. You can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
10. It takes a long time to be the person you want to be.
11. You should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
12. You can keep going long after you can't.
13. We are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
14. Either you control your attitude or it controls you.
15. Regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
16. Heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
17. Money is a lousy way of keeping score.
18. You and your best friend can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
19. Sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
20. Sometimes when you're angry, you have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give you the right to be cruel.
21. True friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
22. Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
23. Maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
24. You should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.
25. Your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.
26. It isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
27. No matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
28. Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
29. A rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.
30. Just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
31. We don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
32. You shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
33. Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
34. No matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.
35. Even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
36. Credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
37. The people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.
38. It's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings, and standing up for what you believe.
39. People will forget what you said, and people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
